Two mums from Bolney School first visited Hope House Haiti school & orphanage in 2012, after they had heard about it through a family member. Initially the visit was to make contact and to form a ‘school twinning’ project with our local primary school Bolney CEP school and Hope Christian Academy. After this visit they were inspired to do so much more and the idea of a charity was formed.
On going visits initially from Bolney residents and teachers. In 2014 Mr Edwards a former teacher at Bolney CEP school undertook staff training and Teaching English. He lived at Hope House for 3 months.
By 2015 word had spread. In January 2015 a Medical Team of 8 visited to undertake medical screenings and establish medical records in the school.
In February 2015 a team of Architects visit to help plan the expansion of the school and farm.
They will be joined by a professional who will pass on business skills and an Art teacher.
The future looks busy and many areas where help and professional advice will be needed. Watch this space!
