With more than 900 students, school material is always needed. We want to give thanks to Hurst College and to Cuckfield and Lindfield Rotary Club for all the material donated.
The Cuckfield and Lindfield Rotary Club organised, and paid for a pallet of goods, weighing approx. 140kg which included a much needed projector, pens, pencils, exercise books for school, shoes, clothes, a laminator and 6,000 laminating pouches, watercolours, brushes, oil pastels, and other stationary and art supplies. We are very grateful to Roger Sawyers from the Cuckfield and Lindfield Rotary Club for all of his planning and coordinating the shipment, and James Mackenzie and Simon Pile from UPS. It was an enormous test in patience for all involved, particularly when the shipment was “stuck” in customs for several weeks after it’s arrival.
Hurst College provided quite a large stock of children’s reading books – both fiction and non-fiction – as well as English and Science workbooks for primary and secondary school children. Some of these were carried by the “Prayer Spaces” team who went out in February, and the rest was shipped as part of the Rotary pallet shipment. Hurst College also provided sports kit (over 70 rugby style shirts and polo sports shirts), which was shipped courtesy of the Rotary too.
Thank you all. With your help we are providing a better education.
